Applied AI Engineer

As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll play a central role in developing the next generation of AI-native workflows that directly impact strategic decision-making in the biopharma industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate directly with our CEO and technical leadership on strategic decisions and product development.
• Design, build, and optimize LLM-augmented ETL pipelines
• Implement, experiment with, and optimize domain-specific information retrieval systems
• Leverage our structured biopharma datasets to create highly reliable, production-grade AI agents.
• Own projects end-to-end, from conception to deployment, ensuring robustness, scalability, and accuracy.
• Interface closely with our customers and internal teams to continuously refine product capabilities based on user feedback.

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of professional experience building production-grade AI-powered backend systems.
• Strong proficiency with Python (Flask, SQLAlchemy preferred) and building robust APIs.
• Experience designing and deploying AI agents and workflows, particularly those utilizing LLMs and retrieval systems.
• Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres preferred) and infrastructure management on AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and deeply engage with complex industries (biopharma experience is a significant plus).
• Proven record of shipping impactful features, with high attention to reliability and detail.
• A builder mentality with side projects or professional experiences showcasing your ability to create innovative solutions.
